K, if I understand it all correctly the DOLA which is the 7 year date certain for a credit report is the date in which the account became delinquent and never returned to a current status, even if subsequent payments were made - is this correct? Situation is this (bear with me, it's long sorry): I have a CA who has re-aged from the DOLA reported by the OC - sent DV, ITS, and will be filing on Monday. They are also misrepresenting the status and stating it is open, along with adding about $500 in fees to the original amount of chargeoff. They replied by letter stating that they do not re-age accounts, blah blah blah... yeah that's why its been re-aged. One of them called me Friday - though in retrospect, she was not trying to settle with me thus I shouldn't have spoke with her - she asked for me to fax or email her the info - which I requested that she email me the DOLA they state, first. She stated it was 10/99 - but on EQ it says 3/00 (updated this month). She emails me back at the end of their business day saying that since I didn't email her the requested info she called Equifax to make sure it was reporting correctly etc and that the matter was corrected - and she also verbally told me she pulled all 3 of my reports that day. Anyhow, I sent her copies of the TL's as I have them, along with requesting an agent for service. We'll see as they're closed for the weekend, I am filing Monday anyways. OK, call to the OC who says they do not have much information on this account any longer, but that there was only 1 charge ever made to the acct for just over $500, and that the acct closed in 98 presumably for delinquency, although she could not verify that in concrete - and that the date of last payment was August 99, at which point the balance was above $800 (CL was $700). The account did not get sold until 10/00 "to give me a chance to pay them" - whatever. The chick from the OC thought that it'd stay until 07, I said no, that's a violation - but she didn't get it but that was irrelevant. They could not tell me when the date certain was based upon date of delinquency in which the account never again became current. THe CA has not validated after my dispute and request for validations, only "Verified" with the CRA's. So - is there another way to find out this date certain? Since the OC likely re-aged too based upon the info?
