I live in GA-- no license required for CA. I have the physical address of the collection ageny, but not the name (or phone number). I had the number last week- called, and got their physical address. Don't have the number anymore, and forgot to get their name (dumb-dumb-dumb). Do you all think a validation letter sent to "collection agency for "OC name" would suffice??? I can't find the company anywhere online Please help!!!
Can I send a validation letter formatted as such? Collection Agency for "original creditor name" 3070 presidential drive suite 236c atlanta ga 30340 think that would work? certified mail?
It may not be deliverable. Imagine the post Office trying to deliver a letter addressed to: The Person With the Pimple 3070 Presidential Drive Suite 236C Atlanta GA 30340
On the other hand, it may well be delivered. You could probably even say something like: Collections Department 3070 Presidential Drive Suite 236C Atlanta GA 30340 At least at my company, any mail addressed to our suite number is delivered to us. It's up to us to distribute it. If it's a person who no longer works for us, we either forward it or return it. If it's someone we don't know we return it. But we have to give it back to the PO and say the person is unknown. Otherwise, everything for that address goes to us.
I'll try the latter format "collections department" That gave me a laugh "the person with the pimple" @flying....... I'll give it a shot thanks!
