Hello experts....I've been busy with Xmas and the kids. Anyway it's time for mommy to do something for herself.....

I need help on removing "obsolete" credit info on my report. Do yall think it's too soon for this tactic? My last dates of activities show 1996. Can someone point me in the right direction on some sample letters? Thanks

If it is a GOOD account, ask the CRA to update it...they might just REMOVE it though...

    Dispute as obsolete.

    Dear CRA,

The below listed account (s) are obsolete and therefore should be deleted from my credit file immediately.

    List the accounts....

    Mother2,
You are saying that these accounts are obsolete with the last date of activity as 96..Are you talking about "obsolete" in regards to the SOL or the 7 year reporting rule? If it is the SOL, they can still report it on your credit reports( this depends on your state laws). The trick is getting them off..What type of debt is it? How much? Is it with a collection agency or the original creditor? etc....
