Re: Need Mortgage, Where to Start?? This is all pretty good news. I am looking to buy a home, and still dealing with a 5 year old charge-off and judgement that still somehow manage to keep my scores close to 600. I have pristine credit since 1997, but still thought I'd have to wait for these to drop off to qualify for a mortgage.
Nana thanks for referral. I got some more information on this person just by searching. Advantage Investors Mortgage 9428 Kenwood Rd Cincinnati, OH 45241 513-842-0080 (http://www.aimloans.com) Don Semler (don@aimloans.com) I am not sure if this would work for me in VA?
SHouldn't be a problem in VA, actually had an online friend in VA get help from Don....the best part about him is that he will explain and explain. Do me a favor, please tell him NANAC sent ya! I want him to know how much I appreciated his help! Thanks and good luck!
I knew Momof3 would let you know..wanted to wait for her to do it, though! Bless her heart, she's the reason I have a house!
AHHHHH Nana YOU got your house, I just helped you get in touch with a good guy, but you did all the work
This is so helpful Momof3 and Nana, thanks to both of you. I will be starting my hunt later this year. (as soon as i get a couple of negatives removed - which should be hopefully in the next 30-60 days) I will, then, call Don and let him know that I got his referral from you. I will also keep you posted how it goes with me. this board is great.
Just a thought, Chargedoff, you could talk to Don now and he will even help now in that he will give you a good idea of where you are. He'll even use the credit reports on hand so as not to pull a inquiry until you are really ready! When I started with him, I had a few to take care of and he gave me my options through the time period and how they affected my mortgage options. Good luck to you! Mom...awww, you are sweet!
that sounds good. don really sounds like a good guy. i will give him a call. actually, i mentioned incorrectly earlier in this post that i have 2 derogs. i have two negatives - one paid charge off and one paid/closed account closed by credit grantor. they both are negative but not derogs right? also, nanac, when i call don, what should i tell him? i mean you are a she, right? (just checking - ) also, momof3 - 1. should i mention anything about you to don as well? 2. are you in virginia? i am in nova. thanks again.
Tell Don you are interested in obtaining a home loan and you've heard good things about him from NanaC (and Mom if she agrees) on Creditnet. Let him know you'd like to discuss your alternatives, options, best course of action but you don't want to pull a credit report until it is absolutely necessary. (Don't worry, he won't) Tell him I said "hey" and I love my house in El Paso! OH, and yes, I'm a grandma type nana that is way too young to be a grandma!
NanaC, Momof3, I just called Don. He seems to be a nice guy. I was pleasently surprised to hear what he said. Based on the information he asked me, he is pretty sure I will qualify for a prime loan without any problem. NanaC, I told him your name and he recognized you right away and also told me that you called him earlier to give him a heads up. He told me that you told him my user name. It was kind of embarrassing hearing it from someone else's mouth. Hell, I should get another name. Thank you for the referral. If you have any question regarding my conversation, feel free to send them to my email directly. Thanks.
LOL...you know, I have never thought negatively of your name...just thought it was a playoff on the whole credit world. Guess the way you look at things! LOL I'm glad it worked out so well. Don knows his stuff, let me tell you. He got me prime as promised! And, it's such a painless process with him. Good luck, do keep us informed, o.k? P.S., I didn't call..just emailed..hope that was o.k.
oh yes that was ok to tell him. and yes, it was supposed to be a sarcasm on the credit world, but when i actually heard him saying the name, it kind of sounded odd. but it was good to talk to him. he gave me hope. i will keep you posted.
