I need some advice on how to approach a situation. OK I disputed a debt with a CA about 2 months ago. I disputed with TU, EQu and EXP. Then sent the letter to the CA CRRR, ok TU deleted the debt, EXP updated as "Paid Collection", but EQu verified as mine witht the imfamous "Checked" The balance changed. The CA verified with CRA but has yet to validate with me. I know that i have them and know to send estoppel and etc.., I'm playing the card that the info is incorrect and wanted to state i would sue. Should i mention the fact there' reporting Paid on EXp, and TU deleted, and dare them to update different, or just keep my mouth close and stick with estoppel and intent to sue and keep that info as my Trump Card? I want this one off Equ badddddddddddddddddd
I suggest you just continue with the estoppel letter. You want to build a paper trail showing you tried your best to get them to correct their records. If you want, include in the estoppel that they are reporting this account differently to each CRA (another violation, BTW), and do NOT mention to them which is which. Let them figure it out, they're reporting it, they sure as heck should know HOW they're reporting it.
