    ok

I have a collection account that just popped up in my credit report (I had no prior knowledge of debt)

It IS my debt however this should of been covered by my insurance company (Military TRICARE).

The Hospital (OC) never filed a claim with my insurance company and sent it to collections stating that I didn't provide any coverage info.
    --bad--

TRICARE instructed me to contact the (CA) and give them my insurance information and they would take care of the bill
    --good--

    however,
before I gave that info I asked the CA what would my credit report read. They say collection (Paid)
    ---that is BAD still right?---

The OC will not budge on this and the CA is not willing to have this deleted...

what are my options?? my head is spinning!!!! GrTRRRRrjfslk

S.O.B.'s I knew it!! And I bet your ID when you went to the hospital was your military ID. They don't let you in without insurance cards! Your military ID is your insurance card!

Have you talked to a JAG officer about this? YOur insurance rates will go up, your credit card rates will go up.

    These people disgust me.

Were you awake/conscious when admitted to the hospital? Do you remember what you did?

    FOLLOW UP:

OK.. Well as it turns out this was the fault of the hospital. They have agreed to collect the amount from my insurance company and contact the CA to REMOVE the derogitory statement from my Credit reports....

Well now why didn't they contact you in the first place and work it out like this instead of going the other route??????????????
Would have been better for everybody involved and they would be getting their money sooner.
    Ignoraqnt dingbats.

The Hopspital (Norfolk General Hospital) Had the wrong address. They have been sending notices to the wrong address. They had an address on file that never belonged to me. It took seeing this in my credit report for me to realize that there was a problem.
