I'm trying to get a CA off from DH's credit report. This was for a medical bill that was paid to the hospital prior to the CA contacting us. The first time the CA called I told the lady that we had already paid the bill, she put me on hold, came back on and verified that it had indeed been paid to the hospital. Then, two months later, the paid collection shows up on all of DH's reports. I disputed as "not mine" with all the CRA's and with the exception of Equisux, they all came back verified. I waited a couple of months, redisputed, TU came back verified with a stupid statement "Consumer Disagrees" next to the TL, EX came back as "Frivilous, already investigated". Should I just send a letter to the CA and ask them to remove it? I really don't want to do that as DH has another acct. with them at this time and I really don't want to poke the bear.
