1) Disputed a judgment with all 3. All verified. 2) Removed old addresses from file with all 3 CRAs. Results: EQ - deleted judgment TU - sent copy of report saying ''No update necessary' in the investigation results section. EX - results due 10/12 or 10/13 TU received my dispute on 9/23/02, and this report is dated 9/28, so they probably didn't actually investigate it. What do I do now? The only thing on the judgment that matches me is the name, no SS# on judgment and address does not match. I know this cause I have a copy of the judgment. Thanks all!!!
You need to send a procedural request to TU asking them for the name, address, phone # of who verified this and how was it verified. If they give wrong or outdated info, then it will be obvious they didn't verify it with anyone. You might also call the courthouse and ask them how do the cra's verify judgments with your courthouse. Ask if a memo is put in the file when verification is requested. If so, find out if there is such a statement in your file.
