    hi everyone, is there a ph.# for cap 1 , that i could call to find to find out the status of my application.

    Call 1-800-955-7070. You will get the prompt to put your card number in. Of course you can't do that, just let it ramble a couple of times. It will say "For the status of your credit application, press 1." Hope that helps.
