I have a : capital one 900.cl 4/01 capital one 500 cl 5/01 bank of america 500 cl 12/01 No lates all paid on time No derogs. Alot of inquiries. I am at all my credit limits. I know not very smart. I need to get a good card to transfer these amounts onto. I have applied for all the goods like citi, mbna, amex, fleet. All the majors any ideas??? Please help. I need at least a 2000.00 limit to transfer.
Maxed out on 3 low limit cards and a lot of recent inquires doesn't present a good picture at all. I think your best bet is to let some time pass and aggressively pay these things down. Why transfer all of this to a 4th card and then have the temptation of charging those other 3 back up? I'd strongly suggest getting control of your finances before trying to get more credit. I speak from personal experience!
I had the same problem last year. But, my debts were a lot more. Juniper turned me down. Nextcard gave me $4,000, even with all my cards maxxed out. From reading here, there is a general belief that CitiAA silver and gold are easy to get. If you can temporarily borrow some money (like from your IRA or 401K), you can pay off the cards, get some more cards, and repay your loan. That at least gives you the flexibility you need. Your problem is that they only loan money to people that don't need it. It is very hard to get credit when you are maxxed out. I know from experience.
