I disputed a chase acct# as not mine, and they got verified twice by experian *twice* (TU and EQ promptly removed it the first time). I wrote their executive offices and they called me back saying that they researched the issue "extensively", and they could not find the account. The lady I spoke then asked if I could send a copy of the report I got from experian so they can know what to tell experian.

Anyone with experience with this? I don't know if I should be sending then my entire report, or just a portion of it. They say they can't find the account yet, experian says it's there. I need adivse here, please!

Don't send them your report. If they can't find the account with your name and ss#, then they can't find it. Have them send you a letter in the mail stating that they cannot find the account. Fax that letter to Experian so they can promptly remove it from your report.

I am going throught the same thing. I think that the CRA's do not investigate all disputes. They just say that they do. That's why they are hesitant to send a detailed description of investigative procedures when asked to do so.

I'm also going thru the exact same thing with an OC and EX. The OC "can't send" me anything because the account isn't in their system and EX continues to verify. It's done "computer to computer". An EX rep suggested I talk to the OC's "reporting dept"...??? That's my next course of action.

Let us know if you come up with something that works. I'll do the same.....
