JohnM I have a chargeoff that is shown on Experian only. I disputed it with EXP and it came back as "transferred or sold" and verified. If I now dispute it with the OC is it possible to then have them report it to all 3 CRA's (which is NOT what I had in mind). Thanks, JohnM
Excellent question! I have a situation that is similiar on one of my reports and so far I have only tried to go through that CRA. Yep. I fear that I might stir up trouble and wind up with the problem now on all three. Does anyone have experience w/ this?
If the tradeline is only reporting on 1 CRA, it is most likely that the OC only subscribes to that 1 CRA.
Can someone expand on this a bit more? I've got the same freaking problem, thanks to Pacific Hell. They juiced me real good after I moved, and later learned that a new tenant had a field day with my phone service (I thought I had it disconnected prior to move). I paid their bill, then learned that Pac Hell decided to give me their special "Departing Gift:" a free referral to American Agencies (a collection outfit). I've seen my old reports, where they derog'ed my EXP and TU files, then later learned that EXP for some reason just dropped the neg. TU wasn't so generous. I'm hoping that my disputes with TU, the CA, and with the OC won't come back to haunt my dumb arse. Looks like I've got about 3 1/2 more years of waiting, possibly this time with the derog on all 3 CRA reports.

I didn't want to take a chance on it getting to the other two while I fight it. The date of "delinquincy proceeding the CO" is incorrect. I can't see them fighting but so hard on a transferred\sold account. This is the last neg on my reports, it is from '97, and I really do want to fight it. Anyone else have comments\experience on this ?? Thanks, JohnM
