Negotating settlements

    I have several charge off accounts on my credit report and collection agencys have tried collecting on the debt's too. I finally have some extra money and would like to settle the debts. Does anyone recommend hiring a law firm to negotate for me? I am not looking at making any purchases that would require credit in the near future.

    1*Did you send the CAs validation letters? Read the what is validation thread in the link below.
    2*Won't do you no good. You can't make the baddies go away simply by tossing money at them. You pay em and they still screw your credit. Why pay them when you gain nothing for paying?
    3*Better off doing it your self . Lawyers know next to nothing about your consumer rights. Read the fix it yourself thread in the link below.
    4*This isn't the only issue. Another issues is bad credit and low scores cause you to get screwed with jacked insurance rates on auto and home insurance. Also it causes higher interest on loans.
