Has anyone had any luck negotiating their reporting of their account with full payoff. We have 5 cc pretty close to max on each. 1. CHASE $7K bal $8500 limit, with 30 days past due 03 times; 60 days past due 02 times; 90 + days past due 07 times. 2. FIRST USA $8K bal, $9900 limit with 30 days past due 01 times; 60 days past due 01 times; 90 + days past due 10 times 3. MBNA $7K bal $6800 limit with 30 days past due 09 times; 60 days past due 04 times; 90 + days past due 07 times 4. WACHOVIA $8600K bal $8500 limit with 30 days past due 02 times; 60 days past due 02 times; 90 + days past due 11 times 5. USAA $5800 bal $7500 limit with 30 days past due 04 times; 60 days past due 00 times; 90 + days past due 00 times The nasty lates were from '99-'01. All of these are closed because we went on CCCS. We are on CCCS now and have no complaints...they debit out twice a month so it's pretty painless. HOWEVER, we will be able to pay off a couple (or spread around about $10K) in March with husband's bonus $. If we're lucky we can pay off an existing 401K loan and get another 30 days later to pay them ALL off. With all that background, before I give any of them a red cent, is it possible to negotiate a "PAID AS AGREED, NEVER LATE" ??????
Hey lbrown59...thanks for the reply but I think something is missing... your advice would be greatly appreciated.
anybody have any advice for OC lates? Most of what I see on the board pertains to collection activity.
I have dealt with all of them with NO luck. Go ahead and try but I doubt that you will have success getting what you are looking for.
