I have a couple of charge-offs that are listed with the original creditors. I want to negotiate payment for deletion. I know several people here have done this but what is the best way to contact them? Should I call them or send them a letter? Any suggestions?
I would call first, so that they can hear the sincerity in your voice. Whatever you all agree to on the phone, make sure you get it in writing before fulfilling your end of the agreement.
Thanks Love. I know that with CA's and CRA's all correspondence should be in writing but I thought it would be more appropriate and sincere to call the creditors - at least for the first pont of contact. I was just worried about getting some "could care less" Customer Service rep. Thanks again.
