Well, I'm at that dreaded point where I have to take the validation issue to court against Capital 1. They have repeatedly ignored my requests for validation and have continued to report on my credit file without showing me a shred of proof that this account is mine. I have sent two validation letters, an estoppel letter, and an intent to sue letter, all to no avail. Now I guess its time to show them that I'm serious. I will be filing on Friday and I would truly appreciate any and all advice regarding this, especially from those that have had to file before. I've been reading the Pro Se website for FL (that's where I am) and it has been very helpful. But its a shame that it has to come to this when all they have to do is either prove it or remove it. Wish me luck!

    Good Luck.

Sorry I don't have any advice for you - I haven't reached that stage yet but I might soon.

    Keep us in the loop.

Just be sure to stick to FCRA issues rather than FDCPA issues...lol :) Good luck with it!!!

Thanks for the good wishes, Tom.

Whyspers, your site is great! I've been reading it since the beginning and just joined on. As a matter of fact, your site gave me the idea to find the Pro Se for small claims website for Fl. I only hope that I am as successful as you have been in your journey.
