I have a charge-off collection account on my credit report since 5-1998. I never recieved a collection letter for the CA. I contacted the CA (1st communication between us) to see what there settlement offer would be. They sent the settlement letter and then I found this discussion board and learned about the my rights and thevalidation process. I sent them a validation letter and I'm now waiting for them to reply. Did my time to send a validation letter run out? I was told that It didn't because I never had an contact with the CA. Is this true???
