I applied for Juniper on 3/10/02 & it's already reporting. However, it's a mixed bag: EQ went up 22 points, but TU went down 35 points!

TU dropped due to a combination of not reinstating DMB (established 5/99 $11,700 CL, $0 bal) since removing it in January, and adding Juniper (established 3/02 $5,500 CL $2000 bal).

EQ went up 22 more points to 744 due to decreasing balances & higher CL. Reason codes:

14 - Length of time accounts have been established. (Juniper 3/02, DMB 5/99 Chase 11/99)

1 - Amount owed on accounts is too high. (89% left on student loans to be paid off w/i 5 months)

10 - Proportion of balances to credit limits on bank/national revolving or other accounts is too high. ( 0% Chase, 36% Juniper, and 19% DMB, which hasn't reported $0 bal yet)

    8 - Too many inquiries in the last 12 months (2/01, 5/01, 3/02 & 3/02)

    Question...

How come FICO which provides all 3 of these scores penalizes me 35 points on TU & 15 points on EX, but rewards me 22 points on EQ?

CE's score page tells me my score dropped 15 points to 721, but that there are no new postings to my report. However, when I requested my report, there was Juniper!

Apparently Juniper checks the score on Equifax only but reports to all 3 CRAs.

    Re: Question...

Ummmmmm you know better than to ask a question like that. Duh. They use different numbers on the little balls in their random selection machine.....
