NOT THAT I WILL DO ANY BUSINESS WITH CHASE (except deposit my wife's CREDIT BALANCE refund check)--IF IT EVER GETS HERE...

...BUT TO CLARIFY...is that $500.00 in purchases or more or do you have to carry a balance of $500.00 or more thus incurring interest???

Preferred Pricing: 8.99% for Elite Pricing, or 12.99% for Premuim Pricing, or 18.99% for Standard Pricing.

It sounds to me like you have to carry a balance, but I guess we'd have to contact Chase to be sure.

I'm not doing business with them either.

    Cashbuilder Summary
The CashBuilder Reward Plan allows you to earn an annual cash rebate of up to 2% by using your Chase CashBuilder Card. Whenever you make new Purchases on your Account, which appear on your monthly statement, we will calculate a CashBuilder Reward for that billing period based upon your annual level of net Purchases. The percentage calculation used to determine your CashBuilder Reward is based upon your annual level of net Purchases (â??Tier Levelsâ?), and will range from one quarter (0.25%) percent up to two (2%) percent of your annual level of net Purchases as follows: 0.25% for the first $2,000, 0.50% for the next $2,000 ($2,000.01 - $4,000), 0.75% for the next $2,000 ($4,000.01 - $6,000) and 1% for net Purchases in excess of $6,000 ($6,000.01 & up). For any billing cycle in which your Account has a revolving balance equal to or greater than $500, your Reward for new Purchases in that billing cycle will be doubled to up to 2%, depending on your current Tier Level. There is a $500 maximum on Rewards that may be earned in any 12-month period measured from your Registration Date Anniversary. Checks are issued within 4-6 weeks of your Registration Date Anniversary.

SO THEY KICK-BACK SOME OF THE INTEREST YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY IN THE FIRST PLACE SINCE IT IS TOO HIGH!!! MOST WON'T GET THE 8.99%---SO MOST WILL GET 12.99% or 18.99%

So they make you feel like you have to carry a balance to get the 2%, then they charge you interest of more than 2% (actually, for a month it probably is less, but it sure eats up the reward).

    Thanks, but no thanks.
