I recently applied for a first premier card. I found out earlier this morning, that I was approved but the automated system said that 'my card was approved on May 8 2005. Today is May 7. I thought that was strange. When I spoke to a rep, she couldn't give me an answer. I then asked her what is the limit on my new card and she couldn't tell me. She said they wouldn't know that information until about 5 days. Isn't that strange? I'm thinking about cancelling this card and I haven't received it yet. This company so fars seems kind of backwards...
it's the weekend. All transactions are recorded for the next business day. Is it secured? High member ship fees? You can have more than one card. It's like playing poker holdm and fold them. "Credit cards are not money but a tool use to make money" Utilization should be less than 30% If you need to use $900.00 in credit a month get 3 cards @ $1000 limit only use $300 on each. Pay off monthly to avoid interest. If not , when repaying always pay the interest, fees and as much of purchased as possible. keep records.
What time did you apply for the card? I believe First Premier runs on Central time; this may explain the difference in date. i.e. if you were approved at 10:30pm Pacific on May 7, it would actually be 12:30am May 8 on First Premier computers. First Premier cards are geared towards those who are looking to build or rebuild credit, so they have a pretty high approval rate. I suspect they approve based on certain general criteria, but then need a few extra days to determine your credit limit based on more specific information you gave.
I would send the card back asap too many fees. They charge you to make phone payment, there is no grace period with them and don't don't give you increasing in 6mths like they say. You would be better off getting a secured card, especially because you going to owe like $200 immediately when the card comes.
