I didn't know that this question was asked over and over again, I just wanted to respond because I had not responded since the original posting. Thanks every one for your comments.
Almost always, when applying for credit for your business, the potential creditor qualifies (especially a new business with no credit history) with the credit of an owner. It can even be difficult to use the EIN legitimately!
One thing I've heard that just makes me think even less of our legal system: illegal aliens who used fake SSN's for credit and work and finally become legal are helped out by the Social Security Admin to get their previous payments credited to their proper accounts and no mention of prosecution is even considered. I have a big problem with laws that are very selectively enforced they can make government a fickle dictator. A person I know of was sent to jail for a while, one of the charges against him was tutoring without a license. I worked as a tutor for a while and I don't think I EVER met a tutor with a license including professors! I'll get off my soapbox now...
Being a little ruff? The concept itself SOUNDS good on paper. It's easy for a newbie to fall prey to the lure of an easy fix when someone tells them all they have to do is change their SSN to an EIN. Though the issue does come up from time to time I'd rather see a newbie ask about it rather than actually go do it. I just hope the advice is taken to heart.
Thank you for that comment, I am sure there will be more questions from people in the future regarding this topic.
