Reviewed the the provisions of the amended FCRA - http://www.moo3mods.com/FCRA2003.htm. [New sections are indicated in blue] As I understand it, businesses that process check writing histories and approve checks are now considered "nationwide specialty consumer reporting agencies", and have 45 days versus 30 to respond to consumer disputes - Section 612(c)(3). Did anyone else interpret the language as specifying this revised time extension for the new CRA category?
Someone has a post that starts out with "Telecheck", anyway, I think I read in that post that the SCRA's do have 45 days.
