Hello everyone I wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the board. I have been on another board but doesnt seem to be no where near as active as this one. I have been reading on how to repair my credit and to get you guys up to date, I just sent out my first round of disputes to the CRA's. Just waiting for the results. Question if say all the results come back and nothing is removed what would be the next logical step? Thanks all and congrats on such a great board!!

I'd suggest that you start sending validation letters to the collectors and creditors.

Bill, that might be a good suggestion if indeed he has collection agencies on the prowl for allegedly unpaid debts. He may simply be someone who has a history of late payments and wants to clean up his reports.

Tuxman, can you tell us something more about the nature of the negative tradelines?

Good point, Doc. Just goes to show how we often assume things that might not necessarily be so.

I have also sent a letter ro settle a medical account for 93.00 but will only settle if removed off credit. I hope this helps.

Ok then what I said was right on the money. Send them a demand for validation.

LOL! :) Well, Bill's on it 100%. I'd suggest you read the FAQ -- especially those portions about FDCPA and validation -- and then spend some time exploring the links that branch off from there. Keep us all posted as you go.
