    Hello,

I have spent a lot of time reading and I believe I am more confused than ever on where to start. I have my credit reports and I have:
4 cap1 accts that have been Charged off
1 Applied Card Bank(Cross Country Bank) that has been Charged Off
1 LVNV Funding (Sears) that is reporting as a collection account- Factoring Company
    Leasecomm- collection acct
    NCO FIN- Collection Acct
    Providian -Charge off
    TU ELEctric- Charge Off
    UNIFund (was providian) Collection acct
    Verizon -Charge off

From what I have read, I think I need to have some of the accounts validated. Do I do this with all the accounts or just the accounts that have been sent to a collection agency? Or do I start with disputing with the CRA's? I am so confused? When you validate do you do that through the CA or the CRA"S? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Kristi

Oh They also have 2 addresses I have never lived at and have me under a name that is half my name and half my youngest sons name. No idea where they got that. Should I have that fixed before doing anything else?/

    my question

I guess my question is do I start with disputing everything 3-4 at a time with the CRA's?
By the way everything is after the SOL.
Thank you in advance for any advice

    Kristi

Best starting point is probably the easiest and then the work begins.

    1. Do your research and keep good records.
    2. Online Dispute as "Not Mine" Dispute only 2 or 3 at one time, disputing the rest 30 days apart. Disputing all negatives may weaken your credibility with the CRA.
    3. Validation of the remaining accounts with the Collection Agencies.
    4. If possible attempt PFD.
    5. UnValidated accounts are redisputed with the CRA.
    6. LawSuit--Read the FCRA and look for illegal actions.
    7. Be Patient and Follow Thru!
