I am having an issue with a credit card company and i am trying to see if i have a leg to stand on and if i should continue to fight the issue.... I was out on Medical leave Sept '09 to Nov '09. My husband then went out on a medical leave/disability Jan '10 to April '10. I called Credit Card Company and got set up on a payment plan.... i was informed that it would not report late during this time frame, i would aquire any late fees or over limit charges as long as i stuck to the agreement. once the agreement was done then i would be able to use my card like i have done so in the past.... well i have since found out that the information i was told was not acurrate.... They closed my account and it can not be reopenned.... They have also reported my card late 4 month in a row.... i have been fighting with them for almost 2 months now and have not gotten anywere...... i only owe 29.00 on the card.... What should i do.... Thanks.
Then it will be difficult to prove anything. Credit card companies can legally choose to close your account whenever they want, and if you're late on payments, they can of course report those to the CRAs as well.
