Hi all, im new to this sort of thing, (credit problems). could you please help put me in the right direction. here is some info: self employed (12yrs) construction American express (gold) owe 1500.00 American express (line of credit) owe 10,000.00 both accounts have my name AND my business name, as they were for business basically lost my job, im feeling the trickle down effect of the economy AND its hard to sell or start a job outside in the winter. income has dropped to ...$0 as of Dec 25th wife works (but her income Barely pays mortgage) what ever small jobs come in, pay for gas and food, thats IF i even get them i cant pay my credit payments and havent in over 2 months (its not that i dont want to pay...i cant) Amex has been "fairly nice" offering 0% for 6 mths and 9.9 for 6 and then revisit the situation. unfortunately i cant even pay that (right now...maybe in 2-3 mths i might) so just 3-4 days ago i get a letter that they have sent me to collections (on just the larger account) then the same day (Friday) i get the letter, the CA calls me and wants to put me in the same program as Amex, and wants to start right then and there, pay over the phone ..yada yada yada. i tell them i need to talk with my wife, and for him to call back Monday. well since then he did call back but we were not home. so now he is calling my wife on her cell phone?? which she is ignoring for now. what is my next coarse of action? thanks for any help
