Here is another benefit of using RSS feeds. One of the sites I monitor using RSS feeds is a debt collector's egroup on Google groups. Yes, google egroups and Yahoo groups also have RSS feeds. Today I turned up this information about what the FTC calls RED FLAG rules dealing with identity theft. They have been talking about RED FLAG rules for several days now but there were never any links or any real information telling what they were talking about. Today they posted some links which led me to the following information. None of the FTC sites have RSS feeds but I could easily build an RSS feed for that or any other web site or web page. Watch this carefully. The FTC and the government is promulgating new rules called RED FLAG RULES to help victims of identity theft. Agencies Issue Final Rules on Identity Theft Red Flags and Notices of Address Discrepancy Deter. Detect. Defend. Avoid ID Theft http://www.ftc.gov/os/2007/10/r611019redflagsfrn.pdf
