_Thanks_, River!! I was one of those who didn't make the deadline for the Secure Optima...I had sent my app in about two days before all the posts appeared about that program being canceled. Ack!
Cheers, and have a great weekend,
so is it an optima credit card or a green charge card?
River, you are the bomb
Thanks for the info. I'm calling as soon as I get off the net!
neither,secure deposit,will equal deposit
RE: River, you are the bomb
Now am I understanding you right the max for the card is $200
Huh? What color is the card and what type of card is it? Charge or revolving (optima)???
OK, Now I'm confused
I called the Amex number you gave and asked about the secured card. I was told to call the number for Blue, and the rep said the secured Optima was still available. I told her that it was my understanding that it had been discontinued, but she said that was not the case and offered to send an app for the secured Optima. She didn't mention anything about the card you were told about. I guess the bottom line is that Amex reps are confused and our best bet is wait for an official announcement from Amex concerning this new secured card.
RE: OK, Now I'm confused
I am also as I called the Number and was told no official word had come yet.
I then called Centurian Bank, and was told the same, and furthermore the CSR told me that they are not even looking at the first of 2001, BUT NOW IT'S SOMETIME IN 2001!
RE: OK, Now I'm confused
You see!! I wasn't the only one! Yes they are confused! And I think that's a good suggestion..let's just wait.
I Called today @ amex spoke with 2 diffrent rep and they dont have any clue about this new amex card they also confirm this with marketing department this must be a rumor...
that is a damn shame. Major confusion
