CA..... Disputed through CRA and just received a collection notice in the mail today. Can they still collect while this is in dispute through the CRA? I know, next time I will validate, wait for green cards and then dispute through the CRA. You live and you learn! HIPPA Q... I paid the CA, in full (My ID says it all!), on a medical account. It's my minor DD's account. Can I still send the OC a HIPPA. I know it's supposed to be used on accounts that aren't yours, or that you're going to send payment with. Do I have any options. I have yet to dispute it. I guess I should I do that first!? I have a med claim, DOLA 12/1996, is this past the SOL for Oregon??? Can I HIPPA w/o payment if this is SOL? I'm not sure this is my account and I am disputing through all the CRA's. Paid Student Loans... US Dept. EDU, they show as "paid collection". One shows 90+ days - 1. Anyway to change that? They are paid in full!!! Addresses.... DH called EX to remove addresses. They removed some, but not all that he asked... There are accounts attached to the address they won't remove. He has yet to dispute the account, the amount is incorrect. What should he do next?? EQ wants me to send them a copy of a current utility bill and my drivers license for proof of current address. They won't take my previous address and I'm not sure he's going to delete the two I disputed. He was an A$$!! What should I do??? Do I have to send proof??? Do I want to??? You know what to do next.

Anyway, your questions are terrific -- I'm no HIPPA expert, but I'll take this opportunity to increase the number of "reads" on this thread -- and hopefully that will help the snowball going for you, LOL. More seriously, here are two referrals... 1) Butch has done some good research into HIPPA, so I hope he sees this thread -- he may have something for you. (Sorry to put Butch on the spot, lol! I wish there was something more content-wise in my own noggin' but alas, there's just mush, lol.) 2) Why Chat has an incredible resource here with some HIPPA stuff: http://community.webtv.net/Y-chat/WhyChatsCredit/ She spends a lot of time on the message board at CardReport.com, so that might be the best way for her to see your HIPPA concerns more immediately. Also, she has posted some great stuff regarding HIPPA at Creditboards.com, so you should really check there as well. (Again, this is not to say that she will have something for you -- but, like Butch, she is someone who's posted regarding the topic, so it may be worth your while to take in the whole net regarding the growing body of shared knowledge regarding HIPPA.)
