Could they have made the subject line any shorter? *&^%*&$*$ A new card by MBNA showed very shortly after being approved on the phone and before the card was activated. Probably before it was received in the mail, but I'm not sure. This isn't supposed to happen is it? There was no chance to review the account agreement to decide wether to accept it or not. This is costing dearly because they were quicker to report the new line than some others were to pull an inquiry for the application. Inquiries are one thing, but having a brand new account show on the report before all the inquiries were made for the cards applied for must have negatively affected the score far more than any inquiries.
