    I recentley filed ch 7. After filing, I received a collection letter from an attorney's office saying that they were representing worldwide asset management, and that the original creditor was Maryland National Bank (which I believe is MBNA).
    Question(s):

    1. When I filed, I listed the creditor as MBNA, however, it appears to have been sold to this worldwide asset outfit. Should I list this company as a creditor as well (ammend the filing to show this)?

    2. my attorney (paralegal who I spoke to) said that I could call them and ask when the debt was sold to determine if they (worldwide) was a creditor before or after I filed. Should I call them at all, or will the fact that I filed with MBNA as the original creditor suffice? I just want to make sure I am covering my bases...

    BTW, This is a great resource with a lot of great information- thanks in advance for any assistance...

    your best bet is to call and make sure (as much as I despise the idea of call a CA) You want to be absolutely sure so you can include them in the BK. Let them know you filed, give them your attorney's name (After you get your info) then tell them not to bother you anymore. If they persist, Tell your attorney and the trustee.
