I need to get my financial house in order. I'm 27, I have 18,000 in CC debt now sitting in the hands of CA's. The largest is with MBNA in the amount of 10,000. I was out of work for one year after being laid off from a good-paying position in the finance industry. I have not made a payment in approximately 1 yr.
I have $300,000 in stock of a non-public, closely held co. This stock is extremely non liquid, I have some option to sell a small amount of it every year, some years, they will not allow it at all, depending on co. cashflow. It does pay me a $5,000 dividend annually.
I just got a new job - doesn't pay as well as the old one, there is literally no wiggle room in my budget.

Can the CA's sue to garnish salary at my new job - I want to avoid this clearly, in PA? Can BK be declared with all of the assets that I have - but cannot really touch?
