Hi, just sent in my first disputes today, certified & return receipt, but am afraid I may have attempted to tackle the most difficult obstacle first...a judgement 1.5 years old for $1100. Perhaps I should have attempted a few lates first to get the feel, but I weaseled it in with an incorrect birthdate and misspelled employer that they had on my record with the hope that they would go for the whole chunk. Any advice besides keep writing? Is the online barrage good too? Also, are there any "easy kills" to go for first, i.e. inquiries, lates, etc? Thanks so much...what a great forum!!

My feeling is hit them all once up front. Do them online even, just to save time, unless you have some supporting evidence you want included in a particular dispute. A bunch of the tradelines will just fall off right then. The ones who are going to put up a fight will be identified immediately, and then you can get to work.

    Good Luck!

Thanks Qixote, I'll try it. I read that if you try more than 3 requests at once they automatically toss you out of consideration...not true?

I just posted in another thread (CRR really necessary?-- or something like that) about my first round. I'm working on my wife's CR's at the same time. Between our six CR's, I disputed 70 tradelines and 36 fell off the first round. It's never been that easy since, since each time, I'm dealing with those that fought back previously. The first round, I wouldn;t do anything tricky. No CRR's, nothing. Just send out your disputes, or do them online. Don't make yourself look too clever. "Fly Casual" (Star Wars Reference). Save the good stuff for later.

i usually do four when i mail in disputes. nothing wrong with going after a judgment. either they will verify it or not, but if you get it removed your scores will jump! Good luck and welcome to the board
