I have been reading and looking into a bunch of these threads on this board. I have learned quite a bit, but have a few questions that I hope I can get some help with. 1. Credit Monitoring Service Advice. A. I want to get all three FICO credit scores. Should I use myfico.com? Does it give me three FICO scores or are they FAKO scores? I am considering the "FICO® Deluxe" is your complete credit picture â?? all three FICO scores and credit reports from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.â? (that way I can start with my real scores and go from there). B. I want to be able to monitor my credit, scores and be able to pull all 3 bureau reports plus do some bumpage as well. I am considering using Score Watch, True Credit or Privacy Guard to monitor and track my reports and scores. I have Credit Secure to pull my three bureau reports with FAKOs. I also have Equifax Credit Alertsâ?¢ for PayPal for free so that I can track my scores and account activity (it is limited in what I can do. I know I should have done this before, but want to get off to a great start for the year. My wifeâ??s score has dropped dramatically over the past year, and I want to know why. Early last year, she had great credit (700+). Then when we purchased our new vehicle, her score had dropped down about 80 or so points. The finance guy at the dealer said that our 2nd mortgage did not report her high credit on the bureau and that would bring it up 40 points or so ($4k balance, $14k limit [we had to use it for some home improvements and to front the money for our insurance damage]. Last week, she was turned down for a credit card. So something is going on with her reports and I need to find out as soon as I can. Thanks in advance for helping me out.
Back in the days "B" came pretty easy. But I don't know now. Install loans such as cars, bankloans has alway droped my score, but over time it will go back up. Credit cards would make my score go up if my balance were low & drop my score when close to being max out.
