Rather then typing up all the details off my credit report, i took some screen captures off freecreditreport.com.... I have 2 accounts still in collections, rather then paying them off this week, i extended the limit on my secured card from 500$ to 1000$ and will pay them off this Wednesday... Link to paid collection account details... img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/forcetheory/paidcollections.jpg As well as the collections hurting me, i had a 60 day late payment on my Auto loan from my motorcycle, not even sure what i could do about this, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask! Link to auto loan details img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/forcetheory/bethpage.jpg So what can i do here guys! I cant even turn to my parents!! Haven't seen my father since i was 5 and my mother is terribly irresponsible with paying bills and contributed to the destruction of my credit! I have no one to turn to and hopefully i can find some help here! I almost didn't get to go to college because i couldn't get the student loans! No co-signer, and now that i have a business up and running, i need money for overhead!!! HEEEELLLLPPPPPP!
Don't be too quick on paying those last two collections... The newer collection you'll probably have to pay in full. But at least try to negotiate a pay for delete. The older one you can probably settle for less than the full amount. The paid collections are tough to deal with. All you can really do is write goodwill letters, or try to dispute them. I started out with three paid collections on my report. One of them I was able to dispute off, one I was able to get removed with a goodwill letter, and one looks like it will be stuck on there until it reaches the full statutory seven years. The car loan with a past 60-day late I wouldn't worry about. Late payments don't have much score impact after a couple of years. I think the quickest way to get your score up will be to get the two open collection accounts removed through a PFD. And you need a couple of open accounts so you can show a good payment history. After that, it's just a matter of time.
It already went up to a 555! The second one i paid at the dentists office, and the secretary said she would have it removed from collections! The first one im going to figure out tomorrow!
