Would anyone be so kind as to help me here? I had a Columbia Gas Ohio account from 1-22-98 to 7-6-98. Columbia Gas sent three collection notices on 7-30-98 and 8-13-98 and 8-20-98. On 9-17-98, according to Columbia Gas, the account was sent to a collection agency named Credit Bureau Collection Companies. I live in New York now. SOL in both states is 6 years. According to my Experian report, there are two dates opened 9-98 and 12-2003...and two dates last reported are the same 1-2004. At the very right, it says past due as of 1-2004. And Account history Collection as of 1-2004 and 12-2003. WHAT IS WRONG HERE? HELP!
