I want to send a letter to Sears about two accounts from 1998. One is assigned account and the other is a standard charge account. Should I send a DV letter or should I send OCV letter? Maybe there is a better choice for Sears, as they have had so many problems with breaking the law in the past. hehe?

    Sincerely John

I understand that this subject has been discussed about a thousand times before, but all my search attempts on this site fail.???????? Why they fail I have no idea? (I dont think it is my connection speed as it is 1794 kbps.)

    Hi John,

Are your Sears accounts paid or unpaid? Are the accounts listed on your report as Sears or a CA?

what is OCV, and DV? if they are validation letters, the OC doesn't have to validate, only the CA. I'm not sure if there is a CA involved in this situation. I think we need a little more information in order to give you the best advice.

the Sears accounts are (1) an assigned account with Me that is a charge off, and (2) a charge off indivual account of my wife's that has been sold to RMA which is now in dispute. (RMA: a CA that breaks the law on a daily basis)

Anyway, I am looking at sending the OCV letter for both accounts to Sears today anyway . I do not think it could hurt???

    Thanks in advance,

    John
