Hi....I'm brand new to the boards, and I am working on cleaning up my credit. About a year ago, I had several lates, & a few collection accounts. I paid them all off about 8 months ago....and I want to know if I should get a Secured Credit Card, or what is the best way to rebuild my credit. Thanks! If I get a secured credit card, any suggestions to which are the best??

I've been a recommender of Chase's secured card for three reasons.

    1. Chase is a prime card company (looks better on your reports)
    2. They report to the bureaus without reference to the fact that the card is secured.
    3. After you prove to Chase that you've been responsible with their secured card, you have a better chance of "graduating" to their unsecured card products.
