My DH and I plan on applying for preapproval on mortgage in a few months. Only have one score for DH - in 620s, mine 598, 587, 622 I have BK in my past, dchd in Sept 00. Three CC's that should have been included in BK are reporting with balances and as charged off, bad debt. One CC, unsure if I had it and, if I did, should have been in BK, but it is reporting activity and 23 lates (120+) in 2000 and 2001 (after BK). I have had no lates on CC's since BK. The three CC's that are reporting as charge offs DOLA is 12/97 so would drop off this year, but I understand that these should be cleared up before we should apply for mortgage or lender would want us to take care of them. What is the quickest way I can get these cleared up? What about the account that is so obviously wrong, reporting lates in 2000 and 2001? Reports DOLA as 07/01. I have posted these questions on another board but am open to and would appreciate all opinions! Thanks.
I did read as much as I could, some won't load. I also checked out Why Chat's site, and he/she has a BK link, but I can not click on it. In the "biggest mistakes" thread, someone on page 3 makes mention of a post on "BK - deleting TL's" which would probably give me the info I want, but there is no link to it, and it's from 08/02, so don't know how many pages I'd have to go through to find it, and, for some reasons, things load really slow (if at all) here for me, and I'm on DSL.
