Hi, I've found this board a few months ago when I started having credit problems and thanks to all of you I'm learning a lot. I've wrote to all 3 CRA telling them that 2 accounts on my report are not mine....they really are not mine...each one took off one of the accounts (the same one) but all 3 said the other account was verifed ...I do realize I have to send out another letter to all 3 CRA but I do not understand how TU said it was verifed 7/02 ...my letter to all 3 CRA telling them it was not my account wasn't mailed out till the middle of August ...would they have verifed it before I had asked or is this just a typing error?? This account has me with a R9 rating....I know this is bad but how many points do you think I lost on my credit score because of it?? Thank you Lady
Your last question is easy one. You lost a lot of points on that, depending on how recent it is. The newer it is, the more it hurst. As for TU stating they verified it on 7/02, is it possible that was the last date it was reported by the creditor? If you sent disputes out the middle of Aug. did TU send you an updated report and if so, where it lists the status of your disputes, what does it say about that acct?
After looking at a couple of my old TU reports, I would say that the verified date is the date that TU claims to have verified it. Accounts that have never been disputed don't have a verified line.
Welcome Aboard Lady, (rousing applause) What Lady is asking, and I know because we've already talked about it, is; why would TU put a "verified" remark on the TL PRIOR to her disputing it. Experts???
Well, I'm not too sure what else to do other than that. But, I would include in that demand the comment that it is impossible for you to have verified this 2 months before I disputed it.
