Last week I posted I had received a catalogue with a preapproval for a Newport News card. You guys informed me I could use it at Eddie Bauer and Spiegel, so I went ahead and called for the approval. I just checked and they approved me for a $1300 limit. Is this typical for a starting limit with them?
That sounds about right LKH. When I got my Speigel card a few years back they started me with 900 limit

Wow!! Impressive limit. I started out with $700, now at $1,250. I hardly ever use it though, It's about 22% I think. I charge something, pay it off once in a while, but I'd rather use a rewards card.
