Equifax--------05/02/02---673 and going up about 3 points per month. Trans Union--05/09/02---736 who cares it's a fake score anyway. E-laon---------06/11/02---657 in a range between 649 and 657. Experian------02/01/02---643 who cares it's a fake score anyway.
Received letter fron F.D.I.C. saying account was terminated and to cut up card, etc. It said that the FDIC was "approaching selected credit card banks to offer new credit cards to existing NextCard cardholders." -Cliff
Looks like I'm a casualty too! I called and got the "we couldn't find a buyer for your account" line. Just closed it. What accounts are they keeping? The ones that are still at 24.99%? Mine was $3500@9.9%, scores TU 842, EX 752, EQ 710

Has anybody gone ON-LINE and "DISPUTED" NEXTCARD as "ACCOUNT CLOSED BY CONSUMER" and BALANCE $0 and PAID/NEVER LATE (WITH THE "BIG 3"???) ...OR JUST WAIT IT OUT???
My FDIC letter was dated the 1st. Just received it today. No actual postmark. I doubt they mailed it the 1st. USPS Texas to Florida in 9-days? Don't think so. -Cliff
I can just IMAGINE a BUNCH of customers trying to use their card tomorrow having HISSY FITS!!! They don't know about CREDITNET and don't check their e-mail every day...(I HAVEN'T GOT ANY E-MAIL ABOUT NEXTCARD)
When I went online, my account looks ok. Nothing unusual. I didn't get anything in the mail today. But when I tried to call them I could not get through. They said "their menu had changed and good bye". I don't know if I have an account or not. I suspect not, even tho the account looks ok on the computer.

Mine looked just fine - completely normal. I downloaded all transaction statements to MS-Money for future reference.....just in case the website goes POOF! The FDIC letter said the website would operate normally for a "limited period." -Cliff
