    Judyputy,
The reason they gave me for the huge bump in rate was "I have too much credit!"

Greg, If you don't mind me asking.....what do they mean by TOO much credit? Too many cards with open credit limits? OR you owe too much.

I would like to know since I have about 71,000 in credit limits and have a rather large credit balance. Won't say exactly how much since it's too embarrassing to say. Let's just say I have been out of work for a year due to disability without any pay and lots of expensive doctor bills. Not to mention that we lost 1/3 of our salary when I had to quit. We liked to BUY things. ANYWAY............

I figure I am the queen of too much credit. Right now I have 3 zero balance accounts with 28,000 open credit. You think that's too much? Wonder when they will get me.

Oh, haven't called about the BT yet, but will post when I do.

I am awaiting a letter as to specific reasons. The rep on the phone just said that I had too much credit available - not that my balances were too high (which they are not), but Nextcard felt that I could "get into financial trouble" by having too much credit "at my disposal."
