I have concluded my first round of disputes with some success. However, many items are coming back verified. I have written letters to the creditors asking for verification, but so far no response. I also have sent a round of letters to the credit reporting agencies asking them to provide proof on the methods they have used to verify these accounts. I have not heard back from the credit reporting agencies. As far as disputing these items again, how do you do that? I went online and tried to dispute some of them with Experian. I got a note saying this item has already been investigated and I need to provide proof that this information is wrong before they'll reinvestigate. So what should I do here? I want to dispute all of these items again with all three bureaus. Do I dispute what I can online and also write dispute letters to the credit reporting agencies? Do I send another round of letters to the original creditors with copies of the first round of letters I sent plus proof that I sent it certified mail? Has anyone ever contacted the Attorney General where the orginal creditor is located in an effort to get an item removed. What can the Attorney General do and what should I say in my letter? Thanks for reading this.
I think you might have some success if you dispute it another way. For example, if your first dispute was "not mine" this time try "wrong balance" or something like that. Also, I believe the online dispute systems won't allow you to dispute more than once, but you can keep sending CRRR letters until it comes off. I might be wrong ... someone will correct me if I am. But this is the way I've understood the process. peace, delilah
