I previously posted about a situation regarding three line item in my CR that I had paid to the OCs and not the CAs.

A quick recap: One, the CA deleted the TL automatically as soon as OC was paid. Two, the CA refuses to delete TL claiming that the OC hasn't relayed to them that the debt is paid. Third, the CA did not reply.

Here's the update to the last two, and where I need all assistance possible:
For one of the accounts, I got the OC to fax me a statement of account showing paid and 0 balance. The CA still refuses to delete the TL and is verifying with CRA as collection owed. All three CRAs are 'verifying' this item in spite of me mailing each of them a copy of the paid proof. I am at a tremendous loss and getting very frustrated and angry with the process.

The second paid account, the OC sent notice to the CA of the paid account. I then received in the mail a satisfaction of account in full from the CA AND the CA updated my CR as paid collection. I did not pay the CA. Can they do this?

I would greatly appreciate any guidance in this matter. I'm diligently trying to clear up my credit AND pay off old obligations which doesn't make me feel good when it appears CAs are trying to be extra punitive if they don't get to collect.

    HAPPY EASTER!!!

Dispute the subject account tradelines through the credit reporting agencies. Rack up some FCRA and FDCPA violations if they verify and use them as leverage later.

    May entail a civil action.
