I got an email from Nextcard telling me that First National Bank of Omaha is now servicing my closed account. Is it closed or transferrred? The FDIC was referenced. I wasn't transferred to Merick. My balance has been zero since May. The account shows open on CW and CE.
I'd call them and see if the account is actually open. If you could use another card, FNBO is seriously prime. They offer great products and great rates. I don't have an account with them, but I get awesome pre-approvals on a regular basis from them.
I called the bank in Omaha. None of the Nextcard accounts are open. The bank is only servicing the closed accounts with a balance. The email to me was a formality.
