What are you guys seeing on the closed Nextcard accounts?

I closed my in the nick of time and I paid it off that week (I used it the month before just in case that mattered)...

well.. punish me... my whopping 357 balance is still showing (last update June 2002)

and it's not showing closed... much less at consumer request

anyone else been updated after June 2002?

I have been updated on EXP every month since I CLOSED the acct in 6/02. But the acct looks active and open. There is no closed notation or consumer comment.

I have tried to get mine verified as closed b/c I don't want my credit line to look available --since it isn't and they have verified twice already. They are CRAZY w/ the verifications. I think that they just send them back automatically and don't look at what is being asked. Whoever they are...

I don't think there are any real verifications going on with Nextcard accounts.
I think the CRAS are getting lazy and doing "computer verifications" that don't even go out to Nextcard... I think their idea of computer verification is look at the screen... if it's in Equifax's computer... it's verified :)

I'm going for a procedural desc and I want to see where they think they verified...

I wish you luck getting the procedural requests. Every time I have tried I have been stonewalled in some way.
