I tried to use my card today for the first time since it was transferred to Merrick Bank. I had already confirmed that my card was one of those that was transferred, not canceled. It was declined. Fortunately, I was using an ATM machine so no one knows. The screen said I was using the wrong pin # (I wasn't). The reciept said to check your balance (I had plenty of credit to cover the transaction). Has anyone else who was transferred to Merrick had trouble using the card?
Did they say you can use the "NEXTCARD" till the new MERRICK card arrives??? Are you going to have an annual fee up-to $72.00 and a $1,000 limit MAX??? (even if you already had >$1,000)???
I only checked with Nextcard. They tol me I was transferred. Never said whether or not I could keep using the card. I know some people have posted here that it still works. Have never heard a thing from Merrick. Actrually, haven't gotten any notification from anyone - I was the one who called Nextcard. I am going to see what they have to offer. Right now I have $4,000 CL. I jsut paid my monthly bill through the Nextcard website and they took my money out of my bank account so that part is stil working.
MY nextcard is still Active.Just charged my car tabs a few mins. ago. I saw a soft inquiry from Merrick on my report. Still haven;t heard from Merrick yet.
