Nextcard warning

    A nextcard service rep just told me they will not accept any payments over their web site. She strongly suggested using Western Union, but acknowledged that you can mail it in. Nothing else will work. She did not seem very confident in the mail method.

    I had planned to pay on their web site a few days before it was due. Glad I found this out. I need to get a check in the mail immediately.

    Thanks for letting us know. Are you one of the ones that got picked up by Merrick? I did but am hoping to cancel it after I close on my house. Hopefully that will be in plenty of time as I think Merrick is not taking over until the end of September.

    Yes I got picked up by Merrick. They said they are taking over the accounts in October. I just posted the warning in case someone here pays a few days before it is due. That may be too late to get a payment in by mail

    What are they gonna do if we dont pay them. They are bankrupt anyway, can they pursue us?

    My take is that ClickPay no longer works and that the site will come down within the next month or two.

    The old site recommends that nextcard holders that were not picked up by Merrick to pay using this site...

    I just tried to pay it on that site .It is not as smooth as Clickpay was but seems to work after you re-enter all your info.

    Payments received after 3 Pm are not processed until the next business day.

    By the way, I received a e-mail from them confirming my payment and also a phone number if I had any other questions.
    That number is 1-877-875-8078
