Here is the reply I got from NextCard:

    Hello from NextCard!

Thank you for your email. After reviewing your account for a better rate I was unable to find anything better than your current rate at this time based on your unique credit profile and your account history. Periodically you may contact us to see if there is a better rate available. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us any time.

    Thank you for contacting NextCard,

    Jennifer

    Current rate is 12.9.

I really am tempted to close this account, but am curious as to what company will buy them out.

I specifically said in my email to them that if they had to pull a hard inquiry, to ignore the request...I'm suspicious they did anyway, from the wording of the reply.

My wife's card was 18.99% but NOW 12.99%...BUT THE DEAL IS THAT THEY ADVERTISE 9.99% EVERYWHERE...they DON'T advertise 12.99%!!!

I will have her use it for one or two charges per month...(MAYBE THE AOL BILL $9.95/MONTH)

    greyfox,

Last month, I got denied for limit increase with perfect payment hisory with them because they don't make enough profit off from me. No bonus, No cash back, no rewards. I'm not surprise they didn't lower your rate. I got my rate lower two yrs ago to 9.9 fixed.

    I WAS DENIED TOO...(limit increase).

Maybe they will change their minds (if they have any people left) when I pay it off...and "SOCK DRAWER" it...
